Daftar Burung Indonesia yang telah terdaftar di Indonesia lebih dari 1.600 spesies atau sekitar 17% dari total burung di seluruh dunia. Hal tersebut menjadikan Indonesia menjadi negara keempat dengan kekayaan fauna burung di dunia. setelah Colombia, Peru, dan Brazil. Namun, jika daftar burung di Indonesia diranking berdasarkan tingkat endemisitas, maka negara Indonesia memiliki kekayaan burung tingkat endemisitas burung tertinggi di dunia dengan jumlah 380 burung endemik.

Dari daftar jenis burung di Indonesia, kategori burung endemik sekitar 23% dari total burung yang ada di Indonesia. Secara takson, ada 20 ordo (bangsa) dan 96 famili (suku) burung yang ada dalam list burung Indonesia. Berdasarkan data burung.org, status IUCN Redlist burung-burung di Indonesia memiliki status keterancaman sebagai berikut :
  1. Burung dengan status kritis (Critically Endangered) = 19 jenis
  2. Burung dengan status genting atau terancam (Endangered) = 35 jenis
  3. Burung dengan status rentan (Vulnerable) =72 jenis
  4. Burung dengan status hampir terancam (Near Threatened) = 216 jenis
  5. Burung dengan status informasi kurang (Data Deficient) = 14 jenis
  6. Burung dengan status beresiko rendah (Least Concern) = 1249 jenis

Dalam postingan ini akan diuraikan kumpulan macam macam burung dan namanya berdasarkan nama ilmiah (latin), nama lokal, dan nama dalam Bahasa Inggris. Kumpulan nama latin jenis burung tidak dikelompokkan berdasarkan abjad melainkan berdasarkan kelompok takson ordo dan famili. Burung yang ada dalam daftar meliputi burung endemik Indonesia dan non-endemik.
